But after some reflection I have learned alot about myself from this past year and have realized that I did not accomplished much in 2011 it is because I did not challenge myself last year.</span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">School has consumed so much of my life this last year that I feel like I have let myself go, neglected the house and have not spent quality time with the kiddos. This year I want to dedicate more time to the gym. Not to lose weight so much, but to feel better about myself and have more energy to keep up with the things going on around me (mainly the kiddos) We belong to a beautiful gym and I should be there at least 3-4 days a week enjoying it. This year I am going to try to learn to swim laps the right way so that I can finally work on doing a triathalon (something I have always wanted to do) and learn to play the keyboard. (something creative to do) I feel mentally and physically drained and think that time to myself at the gym and doing something creative will help me tremendously.</span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">I would love to do more projects around the house. Painting and decorating are at the top of the list this year. We still have plain white walls and not much decor up. I hope by the end of the year our house will look much different than what it looks like now. (stay tuned for pics and updates) </span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">Over the last two weeks I have been super down about school and was about to give up because I have had a setback with two classes and will have to take them again. I think that I took too many classes in one semester and had burnout but I realized this is just a speedbump in my education and will just need to suck it up, take them again and move on. My dream is to be a nurse and I will keep trucking along until I make that dream a reality. It might take me a little longer than I want, but I will get it done. While I am enjoying my time out of school I do miss learning and going to class. </span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Arial;">My oldest son is starting high school and my youngest son starting Kindergarten in the fall I need to make sure I am spending all the quality time I can with them. Time goes by so fast and they are going to be grown before I know it. In the fall, once all the kids are in school full time I am going to look into getting a part time job during the day to keep me busy because even if I am in school I will go crazy and get lonely being here all day by myself. </span><br /><span style="font-family:Arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Arial;">We are planning on taking some trips this year. First we are going to go to New Mexico for a long weekend away to spend some time with relatives and see the sites, Las Vegas this summer for a wedding, if we can get some money saved we will be going to New York in the spring for a college graduation at Columbia and lots of camping and fishing trips. </span><br /><p><span style="font-family:Arial;">Oh and I would like to say that one of my friends read 177 books in 2011 I feel like a slacker with the 1 book that I read... time to step it up :) </span></p><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">So stay tuned for some crazy times in the life of the Figueroa's this year because we are going to step it up to have some fun! </span><br /><span style="font-family:Arial;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Arial;">HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8109094416391058011-56788034298932514?l=jenniferfigueroa.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Jennnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8109094416391058011.post-19428794958908148002011-12-30T07:58:00.000-08:002011-12-30T08:12:20.369-08:00<div>high five to husband of the year :) you know I love ya jason! </div><div><br />We had a good laugh this morning when we were discussing all that happened last night. We went to get eye exams last night at Target. He informed me this morning that he got busted looking at her chest. He said he was searching for her name tag. Of course my response was "searching? As in searching for the wheat thins at the store? haha... We just cracked up laughing. I told him she must think he was some sort of a perv since she did catch him and covered herself up... Oh honey. Why? </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>The other thing that we were laughing about is that I got Jason a small coffee maker for his desk at work. I told him to take some of the coffee in the cabinet so he wouldn't have to stop at the store. He took it as take ALL the coffee... even the little samples we had. Left me without any to make with my breakfast! haha. So last night he takes me to the store to pick some up. I thought he would drop me off at the door while I run in. No he parks a mile away, makes me walk and watches me walk back to the car! I was like I don't mind walking but that was kinda jerkish of you! lol. Seriously? Is he trying to tell me something? That I need to walk? </div><div> </div><div>Oh well.
